Rules for visit
As of 2020
- Eating and drinking is prohibited
- Animals are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs.
- Smoking is not permitted in any rooms of the museum.
- Only touch marked exhibits.
- Designated escape and rescue routes
- Please follow the instructions of our staff. Visitors who do not adhere to these rules and the instructions of the supervisory staff may be banned from entering the museum.
- Visitors are liable for any damage and expenses caused as a result of their conduct.
- Large or bulky objects (luggage, bags, umbrellas, etc.) must be left at the cloakroom. The museum accepts no liability for any objects of value.
- Enter walk-in exhibits at your own risk.
- Only touch marked exhibits.
- Accompanying adults are responsible for their children’s behaviour.
- Photography and filming for personal use (without the use of flash or tripod) is allowed in all exhibitions. Commercial photography or filming requests must be made in written form to the museum before your visit. Please send an e-mail to: presse@verkehrs.museum
- Please hand in any lost or found items to the supervisory staff or the person at the ticket office.
- In case of a fire alarm (shrill siren signal), exit the building on the designated escape and rescue routes.
- Use of the children’s play areas in the Transport Museum:
Children entering the play areas must be accompanied by an adult. The vehicles in the Transport Garden may only be used by children who are aged 3 to 6 years and up to 1.5 m tall. Verkehrsmuseum Dresden gGmbH does not assume any responsibility for children in the play areas over and above the legal obligations. This responsibility must be assumed by the accompanying person. Accompanying adults are also liable to Verkehrsmuseum Dresden gGmbH and to third parties as a person who is legally responsible for the supervision of the child. - All exhibitions are accessible to disabled visitors. To use the lift, please ask the supervisory staff.
- Any discriminatory, racist or antisemitic symbols or signs are forbidden in the museum.
